Indian Head massage
has been valued by Indian people for generations,
and is probably the most straightforward, convenient
and versatile massage therapy. It is a wonderfully
relaxing and calming treatment, using a variety
of therapeutic massage movements that focus not
only on the head but also on the upper arms, shoulders,
and neck, where many people build up a lot of
tension. Treatments normally last 30-45 minutes,
and the client can remain fully clothed (although
it is more effective if the client removes their
top so massage oil can be used), so Indian Head
massage is ideal for people who don’t have much
time to spare.
Assuming the client is happy to
remove their top the most common medium used for
Indian Head massage is oil, however other mediums
can also be used, such as cream, or gel.
| The
benefits of Indian Head massage are as follows:
- Deeply relaxing and calming.
- Improves blood and lymph circulation
in the upper body, aiding removal of toxins.
- Relaxes and tones muscles.
- Reduces muscle tension and can help
with injuries such as muscle strains.
- Removes dead skin.
- Encourages hair growth and improves
skin and hair condition.
- Helps to relieve eye strain and tension
headaches.
- Improves mental and emotional well-being.

Please note that a good Massage Therapist will
always do a thorough consultation before commencing
a treatment, and will also provide advice about
aftercare and homecare.
